Great game

It's a good game, amusing, yet i found another bug

I've started with the idatu campaign, and finished it. After finishing, i've tried the tridalian campaign, but no matter how many times i beat the first level, the second one doesnt unlock

8/10
5/5

did you allow the game to store unlimited amount of data? It may be caused by lack of available space for the site. Right click, choose Settings and set storage to unlimited.

Ya' know...

This game wasn't half bad...

Fairly fun

More fun then usual though need to fix that hero respawn keeps making him run forward like a drone instead of being able control him makes it pointless to bring him back if he dies.

Found it easy

the game was fun and all, but its pretty easy. I'm on level 5 of the Tridalian missions. And all you need to do is set units to fall back, built mines first then power plants, then any other building. After that units of your choice. All the while at teh enemy base an attacking from afar.

great game, few criticisms

First things first, this is a great game. I love the way that you can actually form intelligent strategies, unlike many other games like this in which you just sit there and spam the enemy with troops. I like the challenge of having to control your hero and order the troops at the same time. I also like the choice of 4 weapons to upgrade and use strategically, this is probably the best and most unique feature of the game, its what allows you to strategize.

Alright, now the things you should improve on:

First and foremost is the story-line, or the absence of one. I think that just about any game should have a story line due to the fact that its so easy to make one up, all you need to do is type up a small story that fits with the game, if you are able to put so much work on making a game good you may as well add some interesting background to it, the lack of a story-line in this case lost you a full star. If you add a story to the next one, try to make it good, if you're not good with English then enlist the aid of someone who is. What would be really interesting is if you started a post on a forum asking for help in creating a story line, and let an entire group of people come up with separate ideas for a story line and then you select which is the best, that way you could develop the game while people on the forum come up with a storyline for you.

Secondly, in stead of getting a single upgrade point every time you get a level up (which is not that often) you should make it so that you get several upgrade points but each with less impact. For example, in stead of getting a single upgrade point when you level up which can increase the damage of a given weapon by lets say 10 points, have 5 upgrade points when you level up but have each upgrade increase the damage of said weapon by only 2 points. You get the same overall outcome but it allows you to be more diverse in the dividing of upgrades.

Thirdly, don't just have your character gain experience. Have the character gain money too. Make it so the character can use the money to buy new weapons (and other stuff) and then use experience to upgrade the weapons (and other stuff). for instance you could include mines as a new weapon to use strategically. Either this or, if you dont want to add new weapons you could use money to upgrade existing weapons and experience to increase specific stats such as health, speed, damage, sheilds ect. I understand this will take a lot more programming but if you do it then the outcome will be an amazing game.

Fourthly, please please please make an upgrade that increases the reload speed of your weapons, the worst thing that can happen is if you are in the middle of battle and you run out of amo and need to reload and the rest of your weapons are not suited for your position. it is so bothersome.

Finally, make difficulty options (the option for easy normal and hard). This will probably take some time to program but most great games have them. one of the biggest downfalls for many great games is the difficulty. if the game is too hard for you then you dont get to enjoy the full game because you aren't able to beat it. if the game is too easy then that also ruins the game because you dont feel the challenge of the game. If you give options then most players will be able to feel the perfect amount of challenge and therefore not get mad at the game for not being the correct difficulty.

Sincerely,
~ blitz ~

PS. dont take offence at me giving you 8 stars rather than 10. i rarely give 10 starts to anything. i will give you 9 or maybe 10 stars if your next game is great :D
