Reviews for "Alphaland"

Ya know what this reminds me of?

This reminds me of the "indy game" feature in Upgrade Complete 2. Spouting a bunch of pseudo-philosophical BS in a mostly black and white world. Congrats! You're the butt of a joke!

But seriously, there was no real point to this game. Was fun, but the story was non-existent. Got bored pretty much right when the game started. Good thing it was short.

Seen it before.

A basic platformer with ironicly retro graphics with creepy music and a "deep" message?
yeah its another bog standered "art" game. Nothing new or interesting here.

It's okay...

The reviewer below..."thought provoking?" The only thought it provoked in me was what other things exist that I could be doing other than playing this game.
The overall idea and concept behind it is unique and interesting. However, sliding a block around a thousand other blocks with no explanation whatsoever wears thin immediately.
Yes, I understand it's supposed to be like exploring, so there would be no explanation, but I died by hitting grey blocks, (grey is bad?) and kept re-spawning continuously. Technically, you can never die since it places you right back where you started the instant you killed yourself, which takes a lot of fun out of a game. What kind of game doesn't challenge you?
While an interesting attempt, it needs a lot more work and polish, specifically in the graphics and information department.

Good idea, but the slowdown is so bad I can't even play it. I thought it was a choice by the creator until I realized the settings for Ruffle also slowing down. Would not recommend.
