Pretty, but doesn't follow through
I love the art style, but unfortunately that seems to be all that was done correctly about this game. The controls were, as someone else mentioned, very slippery and unresponsive. Maneuvers were quite difficult to pull off, and bullet firing speed appeared to lack any normalized restriction system, as I could sometimes fire in rapid succession but other times I couldn't fire three bullets without mashing the key for a while.
I only played through half of the first level, as I couldn't deal with the aforementioned problems. From what I saw, the level designs were irritating, what with the aiming system only accounting for left/right/up/low firing, and the enemies seemed repetitive, but I can't really judge because they may have gotten better had I played longer.
Like I said, the art was very good. I was excited to try the game when I saw it, having noticed a thread post about it on one of the forums I visit (though unfortunately I can't remember which), but unfortunately my hopes were dashed. However, it's obvious that there was a fine deal of effort put into this. I'd be glad to give it another shot if the controls were fixed up.
