Reviews for "Newgrounds: Retaliation"
The game is awesome except:
The controls, they are too sticky, there is lag in the response time, and you can only shoot in 3 directions. Everything else was really cool, but the controls ruined the game for me. Maybe add in Mouse controls, and try to make it smooth and not sticky
Slow! So slow!
The controls, man! It was all too slow and liner for me to get used to. The whole "not shooting in the air" thing is kinda whack, but hey, I can deal. The shooting, the running, everything. Slow.
But, on the upside, it did have neat music, great design, and if the controls weren't so slow, the moves would be totally kick-ass.
Controls killed it.
Nothing about the controls felt good.
Repetitive.
I made it through about 4 waves before I felt like I was just walking through mud. The controls aren't bad, a bit skittish, but manageable. The animations are fine, I really have no comment on them. What bothers me is the repetitive nature of the game. I'm sure it gets more interesting the longer you play, but, a wave of 70 enemies with only maybe 4 of them on screen at a time just doesn't appeal to me. Try again, Captain.
