Some random lines here and there
There is some shading here and there, and some shine effects as well, but the lines on the grey and around the board are a little strange.
To me they don't truly serve a purpose other than being little distracting. The shine effects on the lines connecting the individual checker board parts are a bit strange as well.
But it's not to bad though, you've got a good start here. Just keep up the work. =3

Looks strange
Is it just me or are the lines on the chessboard not parallel? This looks pretty weird. Also, the titles all seem to have a different size.
Just like the two before me said, it's kind of weird that all four corners of a square are lit, this doesn't look too good.
However, I like the background you chose. The colour fits quite nicely to the gray squares and it builds up a nice contrast to the red squares.

Kind of boring really
It seriously isn't hard to draw an edge of a chess board and it doesn't make sense that there is a shine on every corner of a tile. All tyhis really is is lines exceptt the text and your logo. Anyone would think of this too but at least you did it in 3-D. I doubt you put much effort into this but i still scouted you anyways. Also, why did you put a frame on it? it doesn't make it look any better. So is the boring blue backround. I don't know what else to say so here is the overall score:

Design 3/10
You should make better things then this.
