OMG I remember reading that particular comic. As for sounds, what bit rate are you exporting them as? Have you tried exporting the sounds to 44.1kHz at 16bit? Aside from that, I would have given these thwomps deeper voice, like those of construction guys. And finally, added in the genuine thwomp smash sound along with shaking the scene a bit upon crushing impact.

The animations a little choppy, but you got the script and the art down pat, so thats always a plus ^^ I like the usage of Powerglove's Tetris cover right at the end, nice touch.
