I think I have a new favorite game!
This game was obviously a labor of love. You put so much detail into everything, it could have easily been a full-on console game back in the day. The humor was excellent, not overly subtle and definitely not trying too hard either. The mechanics were solid, and the level design was top notch. Once I thought I had found myself trapped (backwardly exploring the streets level) only to find that the way was definitely still clear. The music was perfect, never got annoying, and always fit the scene more or less. The "main theme" in itself was awesome, very professional sounding. My favorite part about the game was how Clarence developed as a character, in a way. The ability to increase your chances with a girl by learning about her likes and dislikes is in a way a good message, albeit a bit creeperish in this context :P. I loved the conversation "mini-game" at the end. It worked really well, reminding me a great deal of Banjo Kazooie and how you had to remember Gruntilda the Witch's likes and dislikes. I so far have only got the 2nd best and absolute worst endings, and both were awesome. I actually felt a twinge of emotion with both, a feeling of accomplishment for the better, and a brief feeling of saddness for the worst. And then you pull the whole "it happened in the game, so it will happen in this cutscene too!" trick with the drowning, and I just about fell out of my chair laughing! Such a creative ending, I won't soon forget it :P. I could go on forever about how great this game was. You might try your hand at porting it to the Droid and similar devices, its good enough to make some money I bet. It deserves it anyway. I thank you for this awesome game and I hope to see more awesomeness from you in the future. Keep up the excellent work!
