Reviews for "Infinite Tower RPG"

End?

The game is OK, but is there an end to it??

Are we having fun yet?

There came a point in this game where I asked myself "Am I still having fun?" and the answer was no. I was bored and the only goal the game left for me to get to was the death of my own character.

I think this was a noble idea, trying to make an RPG where the only thing you do is tweak the character's levels, but in doing so you trapped yourself behind a really big flaw-- leveling up your character is not as fun as playing with him.

I feel like you could have made this more fun with multiple stats, different spells, accessories and all the normal trappings you have in an RPG. I mean, when I play an actual RPG game there are about two dozen different little things to tweak about my character, not to mention choosing abilities and spells. And these games actually let me play with my character.

With only four stats to choose from and three items to buy, there's really no strategy involved. I got 300+ levels on the strategy of "randomly click on stats until the next screen appears." It feels like there is very little interactivity or even strategy present.

But the worst part is that it's never ending and monotonous. You never know when your next level up or shop screen will appear, so you're sitting there just not doing anything, waiting for something to happen. When it does happen, you have very little to do before you're doing nothing again. There's no story, there's no characters, no adventures, there's nothing to do but play with numbers.

Other people have said it before but it bears repeating-- you took all of the actual fun out of RPGs and left only the monotony.

I gave you a three because like I said before, I liked the concept and the art and music and all that was pretty good. But this has a long way to go until it's something I would ever play again.

Thanks for the feedback

I don't quite get it

It's like you've taken one of the most boring parts of an RPG and made an entire game out of it...there's no adventure; I can't really get into it.

Hard but-

Yeah, it's very good. Very good, brilliant job sir! Probably one of the top 25 flashes I've played! (just a bit hard)

Game Overall: Definitely worth spending a few days on! 9/10 5/5

its ok.....

made it to 590 with paladin, i feel so accomplished:) anayway, ive got some problems with this. first, it needs much more variety, there are only 3 different kinds of enemies and the gameplay doesnt really change as you make it further. if this had more backgrounds, enemies, and all characters could be played as on newgrounds, this would have gotten a better score. it is very very addictive, though, so it deserves a decent score.
