was fun but removing skill was the downfall
Played through with the various classes a few times and while I liked the concept, like other have said removing skill really is the downfall. I'm a numbers guy so I do actual enjoy this game but the problem comes in around floor 300. While in a standard RPG it's perfectly fine to be fighting monsters with high stat allotments then you character in a game like this you can't There comes a point in the game around 350 where the monsters just have TOO many stat points to overcome. Some of the monsters I were fighting were rocking 2000+ attack/speed/def and still had just as much HP as me, you just can't overcome that.
One of the biggest upgrades to this game would be some type of selective attack system. Give the various classes different abilities they can use every couple of floors ie the rogue can boost his speed 2x for a couple of fights after level 20, he gets a backstab after level 25. You have to give the player characters someway to overcome the massive stat advantage the monsters get in the higher levels. Even if you add a full talent tree of just passive stats and abilities unique to each class it would allow a lot more customization and the ability to progress farther into the tower.
