I could see plenty of DBZ references, which may be outside of the Mario world, but I can't complain that it made the battle more interesting.
If Nega Mario returns, maybe using less flashy moves, but still similarly powerful ones, might be a good idea. Also, I didn't get a good view of the areas in which they were fighting. But overall, a very nice animation.

Pretty cool
People may hate on sprite animations but they are nice right when you do them right. A lot of this was cool. My biggest gripe is audio. It is either out of sync or it is in sync and the animation doesn't match at the right time. I can't really tell since it matches in some places but not in others.

While it is good and watchable, it doesn't bring anything new to the table. It lacks originality. If you are going to make sprite movies, at least give us a real story and interesting characters. This was just a basic fight scene, but a really good one too.

I can tell that it was VERY SMBZ (Super Mario Bros Z) inspired. It did run on a bit long, but it was still very nice.
