I agree with what Nester64 said. But I think that it would also become a bit more important to really stress that what Michael SAYS and what he MEANS are quite different.
I think that, instead of just showing Michael offering her dogfood in a bowl, you would actually want to show his idea of a "nice mea." I'm picturing something like this: Michael and his "wife" are sitting in a concrete room, probably his basement. He's sitting at a nice table, with a white table cloth, some candles, and a steak. She's sitting on the floor, chained to the wall, cowering in the corner with her bowl of dogfood.
But that's just how I envision it. You're the author, so you make the call on how it would look. That was just my attempt to provide an example of that sort of extreme contrast. Anyway, just my two cents. I look forward to seeing some of your other stuff on the front page.

I can see the effort put into this... but I just didn't find it funny. In fact, I don't really see how anyone except the person who made this could find it funny. Like I said... decent cartoon... just not really humorous in my eyes.
