Hit Detection

I shouldn't have to touch a stupid key 5+ times for it to finally get the idea that I've touched it!

Some puzzles seemed impossible because of how crappy the hit detection was.

Take into account the frustration gained by a slowly amassing lag which just makes things worse as you die from an initial lag, which also seems to make your crappy hit detection somehow even crapper.

What annoys me most is the fact that you've made the story and game play concept well enough that I actually give a rip about how much it sucks because when things work well, I really do enjoy this game.

Please work it over into the masterpiece it CAN be.

Wasn't bad...

..until i was moving a box and it sucked me in ;D haha then i quit, gg.

Meh.

This, just like the other Shifts, maintain the same style of gameplay; Go through a level with two terrains in one, switching between them to reach your destination. And, just like the others, it keeps the difficulty arc, but in a different manner. But this is where the similarities end. The graphics and music look nothing like traditional Shift. What happened to the intense orchestral track? Why does ShiftMan look like a fat BarfQuestion character? Why is the floor covered with black grass? Why does an explosion straight from Tron play when I die instead of a fountain of blood? I actually lost interest in the game before the second chapter because the game bored me with the not-so-exciting music and the terrains didn't incorporate as much ingenuity as the others. Overall, I personally don't like the change in style, but at least you kept the idea. I'm sure it improves along the line, but I didn't have the guts to go farther.

Great, but....

First off, let me get started by saying that I love the shift games. They are a brilliant puzzle games, and I have been fond of them since they came out. I enjoyed this game just as much as the others, and had a great time playing them.

However, I don't like what the shift series seems to be attempting to do here. Rather than starting the game in a lab and you undergoing a series of tests, this shift game begins with an attempt at an actual backstory (Small as it may be, its effects are substantial). With the way the games usually started out gave it more of a unknown, strange feel that is similar to the one in portal. With this, it just feels.... silly. A joke. Normally this would be fine but considering the rest of the game is completely serious and similar to the others in the series, the beginning just feel misplaced.

I also dislike the idea of implementing blocks that you can push and pull, but thats just my opinion and really didn't make that much of difference.

All in all a great game, but please stick to what you know is good and what has worked, instead of trying strange new things that don't really fit with what we have come to expect from the SHIFT series.

Diffrent Yet Fun...

It really dosent feel like shift because of the graphics and no multi level tasking.
But fun all the same :)
