Reviews for "Evolving Machine"

Pretty cool.

Really this wasn't a fun game, but you're a genuis (and i can't spell just don't make a video of me like axeman13 lol). This game may not have been fun but I was really intresting so I'll give you a 7 and a 4. Now 10 on creativity and I'm looking foward to the sequel.

interesting

its almost like playing with a form of GLAODS from Portal. a sequel might add more to the mystery, and maybe even a spinoff title

Interesting, Despite Lacking Substance

This is a rather interesting game with a good premise, good art, and good music, even if it was really just a chance for Flashetion to play with Flash. As a game it lacks much substance or replay value, but it ultimately ends up being a nice, interesting way to waste a couple of minutes.
Still, it really does need more to it, as it is it just barely qualifies as a game. It certainly has plenty of potential for future games, particularly if you have branching evolution paths. It was a little disappointing to realize that after succeeding my first try there was only a single chance for failure as an alternate path. Perhaps more failures would have been too frustrating, but they also would have added to the game significantly. Also, if the sequel becomes a puzzle version of this with braanching paths or something, a way of atleast conveying an idea of what each option does would be nice, but not necessary. Just my contribution.
Above all though, it's a nice little time waster, even if it is only a brief one.
P.S. this is kind of off topic, but does it take 160,000 to earn $50?

flashetion responds:

160 000 does not particularly means 50$ in earnings. I just said that because I guessed so, from the point when I added the ads in my flash after I saw it being on the front page with a raising in popularity, and I was quite accurate.

I shouldn't be liking this game...

But for reasons unknown I just can't stop playing. It's great fun. Who would have thought something this simple would be so fun.

So much potential, so many variations possible....

I'm not sure if you're taking ideas or not, but I want to voice this. Perhaps have 2 game modes, one where you just go nuts in the 'evolution' of the robot, and try to make a ridiculous, sharable machine. The other game mode being much like this, a scripted line of evolutions. Perhaps for the second game, have an organic theme. For instance, a seed to a seedling, seedling to sprout, etc. Or have machine versions of that, like if technology was trying to succeed nature on the world's timeline. I don't know. I've wasted enough space with this.
