Who was the moron who thought "S + up" while running was a good idea? Totally killed the game for me.
For all those having trouble with level 19
Knowing exactly how, when and where to jump helps tremendously with level 19. Here's a breakdown for you:
-First jump: jump right before the first spike and hold A down for as long as you can, then release A and right when you get to the gap in the spikes.
-Second jump: Press A for any length, and when your jump starts to go down, hold right to make it across. Jump a few times if you need to for measurement.
-Third jump: Here's the hard one; don't give up, just keep at it. Jump over the spike and release right just as you make it to the gap. Hold left so that you make it past the wall to your left without bumping into it, and then release left quickly so you don't keep going. The coin is the easy part; just keep right instead of left and you'll nab it.
-Fourth Jump: Hold left and A; you'll bump your head on the cieling and make it across, no sweat.
-Fifth Jump: Run towards the spikes and jump just before the first one on the bottom, much like during the first jump, and hold down A to get across.
-Sixth Jump: Set yourself about 1/4 of the way between the left and right spikes, more to the left than right. Then, press A hard and then hit left when you're halfway between the ground and cieling, and hold it. You made it!
Again, keep at it. This takes patience and practice, but now you'll be mentally prepared rather than going in and trying to time things right. Good luck!
Mostly fun...
The controls (for me) weren't nearly as bad as some others have suggested. They could have used a little work, but it wasn't anything that prevented me from continuing the game. It is, most likely, a browser problem.
The concept was great. While the respawning mechanic isn't entirely original, you added things. It started getting interesting with the introduction of being able to move where you spawn. You pulled it off pretty well.
Then there's level 19. I looked below me, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who had problems with it. In my opinion it was needlessly tough, and didn't really add anything to the gameplay. I can see how already mentioned browser problems could make this level unplayable. I was actually convinced it was impossible until I realized what was getting me killed time after time. I stuck through it though, and managed to reach the ending.
Overall, I think you did a good job, but could use a little touching up. Also, I really dig the music.
