Reviews for "Tootsie Roll Dysfunction"

theres sure to be 14 year old boys to bash me

but this was terrible, and in no way funny.
it was horribly cliche, overdone, and overused ideas.
im guessing you had a start off idea and then never progressed at all in any way.
all they did was yell and vomit, and don't get me wrong thats usually funny but since that was ALL there was really it wasn't funny at all.
its sad too because i laugh at almost everything but one thing that should never be viewed as good is when you don't have ORIGINAL ideas.
i mean really don't even be proud of this crap just view it as a waste of time and move on. Oh and learn from your mistakes next time.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

LOL, personally I think that the sad tale of a horribly depressed owl, a senile turtle with mongolian erectile dysfunction, and a candy obsessed child is something that hasn't been done before. The cursing was only because it was the proper character for the owl. The turtle threw up because... well, he had mongolian erectile dysfunction and thought the kid was uber sexy. (And he does have a nice ass mmhmm)

I dont view it as a piece of crap at all. In fact, I think this is one of my greater accomplishments to date. Just because you don't like it doesnt mean its a waste of time. :)

meh

Same tired jokes...
Animation was alright, though.

SCREAMING AND CURSING SCREAMING AND CURSING

You know how to animate, but is it really that hard to write something clever instead of relying on us to think that loud swears coming from a traditionally mundane source is funny? It just drags on and on and on, and then when you think it should be over with the turtle section (great voice acting, more uninspired and more importantly unfunny writing) it goes right back and basically kicks around the jokes you just made all over again.

And no, before you start thinking I am, I'm not against this because it has goddamned language. I'm against this because you seem to think that language in and of itself is funny and some guy cursing at a microphone for a while is comedic gold.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Nope, I wasnt cursing for comedy I was cursing because it was the owl's character. It is not I who is doing the cursing, but the character who is. Certain writing involves writing lines based on what the character would say and no necessarily based on what is "funny". The owl is depressed, over-stressed, and on the path to insanity all because of this little kid coming to ask him the same question every single day of his life. The owl can't do anything about it. He won't kill him, that's absurd on his perspective. He just gets PISSED and throws the F bomb a hundred times, not for the sake of comedy but for the sake of the character.

The "joke" isnt repeated, the story is repeated. It is showing the owl's life in a loop hole. The kid goes to the owl, then to the turtle, then to the owl again. The owl can't take it anymore so he kills himself, ending it all.

Also, this comedy is more absurd than anything. It's suppose to be funny because it is ridiculous. The turtle throws up because... well, read the definiton of Mongolian Erectile Dysfunction at the end and you will see.

okay..

i didn't even laugh.. once.. the only thing that made me smile at all was the familiarity of the commercial, but subject-matter doesn't make a successful flash in my opinion

animation...ok

fuck this shit i wish i never saw it
