Played and beat
Played and beat this on Kongregate, so I'll give you my rundown here. Graphics are clean and pretty with no jitters, but the hitbox seems a little wonky. I know that your spirit beat is immune to damage, but it just seemed like I got his times when I shouldn't have. Music is fitting, if a little limited and the SFX could become very annoying.
You mention it in your Strategy Guide and I agree that Sky Dancer is completly overpowered when paired with Beelzebub. Pump all of Neraine's stat points into Power, throw on a couple Lucky 7s and you're golden. Defenatly try to balance it a bit more, but I guess 2 Zodiacs on Nightmare mode WOULD be overkill, wouldn't it?
Gameplay is what you expect from this type of game, and the beasts add a nice touch. I would have liked the option to change my lv 1 beast when I do a new game+. The boss' curses may be a little overly cheap, but I'd say that the enemies are all beatable with anyone.
I will say, though, it does bug me when an extra or unlockable item within a free game is gotten through paying. Yes, while I do think you deserve some payment for your time, effort and skill, I feel it should be based purely on what people want to give you, not what they feel they need to give you to unlock all the content. I'm not gonna deduct any points for that, it's more of a personal peeve than anything else.
Overall, an excellent game that I fel could be taken farther with some extra polish and balance.
