Reviews for "Wings of Genesis"

Well done, but the "rpg" elements of the game...

... are a bit lacking.

I completed the entire game using nothing but +1 power/+1 agility per level and 2 command badges with little difficulty.

The items don't really have much use, overall, and the stats aren't specifically that useful except for particular encounters to avoid status effects.

That and simple game design aside, very well done.

wonderful ideas!

Im new to your games, I havent played any of the Ge.ne.sis games.
Now the graphics arnet anything new or special, same-ol' simplistic style we see in many many game... im not a fan of it but you did meneged to squiz quite alot out of that simple graphics style.

The gameplay had some problems like the fact that a couple of inchs above the riders head are a hitable zone and I think you shoved there a couple too much.
The charcter stat points were usefull only in a very long range wich I found annoying and the only thing I found usfull in the item shop were items with an abilty like the sorrta frost nova thing.

Thats pretty much all the bad stuff but one thing in your game turned it upsidedown for me - The AMAZING concept of the beasts and overall creeps and boss types.

I find your desigening ideas are amazing and inspiring, espiciely the desigen of Gargoyle, Zu and Tiamat.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant!

Thank you for that inspiring adventure :)

Thank you very much, my good sir.

I was hoping for a next sequal, this is great. This is great work, like the last game.
If there was something more than 5/5 I would put it up.

Very good.

-Gains Beelzebub as a Spirit Beast-
So, how do you plan to take care of this?
DESTROY EVERYTHING.
I love it.

Bittersweet

Let me begin the review by saying I thought this game was a load of fun. Now, this is, like I said, bittersweet, because I've been a fan of Ge.ne.sis since the first demo came onto the portal. That being said, I really did like the strategy needed for the first Ge.ne.sis, and I would like to see it come back. On the other hand, this departure worked for the series, and I really like it too... So either way, we're going to see a great game go down the drain unless you decide to keep both going. Anyway, let me get to the actual review.

Graphics: You kept the same art style I love from the first game in it, but from an unbiased view, it may not be for everyone.

Sound and music: The same quiet, soothing music from the first, yet slightly more relaxing in this one. It melded well with the fast-paced gameplay.

Gameplay: A great mix of rpg elements with fast-paced, balls-out, side-scrolling, shooting. Completely different from the first, but yet another game where I spent my time saying "Wow, I can't believe I've already blown 3 hours on this game and it's not boring yet."

Story: Still a great story that I find myself eagerly waiting to see the continuation to. Incredibly unique would be my best way of summing it up.

Offtopic: I like the new clothing designs for the characters, but it would be interesting to see Esis in a new outfit as well. Also, I like that even though the game is majorly in to action, you still found the time to place story elements and the humor I really liked from the first game.

Final words: Like I said, I'm torn, because I liked the first one and this one, and I can't decide which one I'd like to stay. Both the first Ge.ne.sis and this one are amazing games and I'd highly recommend anyone, even if they're not fans of the specific genres they are occupying, to at least give them a try.

5/5 10/10 I'll be eagerly awaiting the next entry in this series!

fairypoet responds:

Avianar,

This is a Spin-off not a Sequel to the Original Ge.ne.sis game. The sequel of the Original game is Into The Rabbit hole and it is underdevelopment. It is also a TBS-RPG game. Cheers!
