die romantic
watch the vid before you read this.
if you consider these two figures to be representative of all men and all women and all relationships, which i am, then i think that this video may seem misleading. i mean, it may well be created from the perspective that women are evil - this is not an uncommen theme. however i think it is less of a focus on how women are never happy and they always cause pain, and more of a story of how things can go wrong. on the surface it would apear that i am just trying to be optimistic on an obviously dark video, but if you dig deeper then one must inquier why exactly is it that a woman in love would seem perfectly in bliss one moment and then be cold and empty the next, and then down right hidious at the end. i beleive that perhaps what she thought was love at first came to be taken for granted by the man who expected that just showering her in affection and gifts would be all it would take. love is more then this. and thus the spinning round and round with the same old same old, a circle going no where. and thus upon realizing a false love she is faced with the greatest betrayel of the human heart to itself. the need for love with out the capability to receive genuine love. which would you take? lonliness or false love? this very dilemma is what causes her vindictiveness at the end, and that the man is so desperate for her (desperation is not a sign of true connection or of real devotion) he murders himself for her- a vein thought ; as if his death would really bring her the love she saught after all along. basically its a tale of marriage in some form when one has decapitated their own right to search for their hearts home.
i know the nature of this video is set in simplicity which is to give the veiwer the right and ability to decipher it how they would like to, and i certainly took it how i wanted too. because i refuse to put my spirits faith behind such a dark concept- the idea that love is an illusion. i have to beleive this is a tale of false love and a corrupted journy.
but you take what you like of it.
