Reviews for "Agnos"

I couldn't agree more with ZipZipper; your voice has got a quality and feel that brings its own weight and is something I can highly appreciate as a fellow singer. I love your pieces, not only for the story, but the mood it presents with it.
The only thing I thought odd was the pauses (i.e. between "to the place you" and "belong"). It didn't sound bad, but it still brought an odd "What just happened to the music?" kind of feeling.

Can't wait to hear what you have next!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for reviewing numbra :) on the end of the first verse, I composed it to slow down to a point of silence so that I could then bring a more sombre mood for the last 'belong' to coincide with the atmosphere of the sweeping harmonies after the slow. When creating music, I prioritise the atmosphere and each little feeling as it goes throughout the song, almost as if each song or piece I create is like an experience or journey. Sometimes this means deviating from what would be assumed to be technically correct. It's understandable that to someone who is reviewing the technicalities with a critical eye, this may be picked up on. To me, I believe it was necessary when following my instincts in composing this ^0^! Hopefully I've explained my reasoning/point of view clearly~

I really appreciate that! Thank you for the kind review! :)

This is quite an a good submission. You've got excellent orchestration and instrumentation. The vocal work is well-worked and fits in really well with the piece. You did have some small instances of slight discordance, but nothing particularly noticeable. The melodies and harmonies you make use of are structured and balanced very well.

However, I did notice some small mixing issues at certain points. The guitar, which was of an incredibly high quality, tended to get buried in the mix sometimes. The backing pads also could have used a bit more work, as they got a bit repetitive after a while, and they didn't fill in the piece as much as I would have liked.

All in all, great work with the piece, it's very high quality. A few issues here and there, but nothing major. Keep it up!
