Only one major problem

The gems at either side, which are the hardest ones to get to, don't appear on the screen until they're already halfway past you. That means you don't have enough time to react, and can lose your streak through no fault of your own. I'd recommend widening the screen so that you can't be surprised by a gem that happens to be out of your reach and you'll never get to it because you don't have time.

Aside from that, it's a great little minigame with simple controls, and I like it. But in my opinion you seriously need to do something about those surprise gems at the edges.

Thanks for the input. My strategy tends to be to return to the center after every gem, which can be a bit of a pain. This game definitely should have been in more of a portrait format. But as you can probably guess, this was done on little time and it is what it is. Thanks for playing and thank you for the review!

Quite addictive

One of those simple and addictive games (just because you-won't-give-up-arrg).
Kinda unfair though.
Hardly reached 2280 points with luck and reaction on the 7th try.
Wish the screen would allow a little bit more view to get a little bit more time to react. Overall a cute little pseudo retro game + nice music.

creative but

I applaud the creativity but there are some obvious issues that could have been sorted out with some playtesting. If there is anything beyond the boulder I havent reached it and see no reason to push myself. My suggestion is to increase the gauge-fill per gem so fewer gems are needed.

Damn!

Nice graphics, but not nice that I lose some of that bar when there's an extremely hard gem. (A rock is chasing me and there's an statue between me and the gem)
But it's ok :D

i liked it not that it was awsome but i dont understand why people think the animation sucked its a pixel game the music was good and the controls are not hard so this is a good game but not to be on frontpage
