Intriguing.
Okay, so I have to give this game a fair review since it is, well, a game. However, a lot of people seem to be missing the point OF said game, and therefore are rating it kind of unfairly. So, I'll try to be as fair as I can.
First off, the idea of a documentary of Newgrounds seems like an idea that is long overdue. It's fantastic that you're going through with it, and I'm sure that if I have the means soon I'll donate to help support it. Good luck with that; I'm looking forward to it.
Secondly, the game itself. For something that was created simply to promote said documentary, you obviously can't expect it to have too much meat on it's bones. Obviously, there isn't much depth past dodging obstacles and grabbing treasures, but it's executed quite well and the style is deliciously retro. I'm sure more effort could have been put into this, but considering it's cause, the game is worthwhile distraction and certainly a better way of promoting a documentary than just talking about it or posting ads. That is why you're getting an 8 out of 10 from me: While the game itself could be better, it's purpose is pretty unique and the cause it supports is a very worthy one indeed.
