Reviews for "Give Up, Robot"

Excellent game, but very tough

Give Up Robot is a tough game. It starts easy...and stays reasonably playable until pretty late into the game. However, the last few levels are pretty tough. As for the hard mode levels, that is where the very tough part comes in. I have no idea how I managed to beat hard level 3.

It's good but there were a few problems...

It's awesome, but the problems were:
A bit too psychedelic for me, sort of seizure-ish.
The first 8 levels were easy, but level 9 was hard.
Also, whenever I tried to jump up a step, i fell just a little jump gets you a long way into a hole.
Overall, a very good game.

This is crazy!

I have to give AdultSwim credit for creativity, as the game was just so insane I had no idea how to work it! That is not a good thing sometimes in games. I still appreciated this simply because it had absolutely flawless graphics. I love this design of all those crazy colors at the same time. Admittedly, it got frustrating but the design and background is just so wonderful to look at. I love how fast the robot can go and how he can just fire his little grappling hook everywhere while jumping around!

Good lord...

This game is difficult. I won't lie, up until around the late thirties I really didn't have much of a problem. Around 38 it started getting difficult, then the upper forties nearly did me in.
Overall though, this is a remarkably good game. It's simple, the controls are straightforward, and yet the game manages to make the few traps it has at its disposal so devious and difficult to avoid that the game gains an entirely new layer of depth. A rageful depth, but a depth nonetheless.
I won't bash the graphics for being pixelated - I don't mind pixelated graphics. The only reason this game doesn't get a ten is because (although it might have been to increase the difficulty) there are too many things going on at once. The changing colors, the vibrations of the environment, and especially the vibrations of the robot when grappling don't serve to make the game more appealing - just more frustrating and confusing. That is my only gripe. Otherwise this game is amazing. 9/10

Wicked.

As with most platformers this relies mainly on timing and luck. I got to level 50 and will try a couple of more times but out of what i've played this game is wicked hard. I love it. Make a second. :D.
