I like it, but I'm trapped

I really like the game, I like the atmosphere and such, but I've hit a snag. I'm trapped in the sorceror's cell in an infinite loop where the illusion keeps popping up, sealing the hole, and fading out. I can't move and I can't attempt to use the blood. I'm standing on the foot symbol, did I screw myself?
