Amazing.
I have never played Shadow of the Colossus, and so as I rate this, I can't compare it to that game. However, that doesn't stop me from enjoying this game at all.
The graphics are fluid, and quite impressive how you made the creatures appear, real beings made of stone and vines rather than flesh and bone, and the only downside I think is the pale guy's.... paleness, in respect to the colorful, although dark, background. But since that was fully intended, that's neither here nor there.
The sound matches the game, you feel as if you're really climbing these monuments to destroy them, with a somber feeling because they're actually quite grand to see.
The gameplay is simple, yet effective. Jump, move, and scout (Which I loved by the way. Being able to see what's ahead of you is a key in platformers) and that's all you needed. No attack, no run, no double jump, just basic functions. and they work perfectly. The actual challenge comes from a couple of jumps that, if you're not used to that style of gaming, can be tricky.
The story is the major thing of the game, it's very cliche at first, but then you get slammed by something I for one didn't see coming. I suppose, in hindsight, I should have seen it a mile away... But it was still a nice touch.
Overall, I don't really have anything negative to say, except that sure, it could have used a few more stages, but then you would need more cinemas to go with it and obviously, that wasn't required. Well done :D

a solid game if I must say! I've never played shadow of the colossus, I've always wanted to. But sadly I own an Xbox 360 :'(
but this comes pretty close to that dream! BTW I laughed my ass off every time the guy flailed his arms while jumping! XD

I'm bewildered, this is such a fantastic game I cannot even imagine.. You go and slay these giants.
The gameplay is great, the story is better, and I just cannot get over the whole message of it.
This deserves much honour in as few words as possible. A masterpiece with a fine thrill..
