Reviews for "Problem vs Power"

Good but...

The drawings are good and the music too (in fact it fits very well with the drawings) but I think it's too much conventional talking about good and evil. The message it express is weak too.. power can corrupt people, yeah, nearly everyone knows it. I know you didn't expend too much time and you didn't toke it seriously but it's something I wouldn't keep in mind, because if I or anyone would then someone who upload crap and says "I did in only 10 sec" would get a 10 only for the less amount of time. I hope my review didn't sounds too destructive.

ASP responds:

No, it's good. So you're saying that the message needs to be more powerful and... less talking about good and evil?

If that's the case; accounted for.

was ok

kind of stupid animation was good him beating the old lady was funny but it just wasnt at the correct point on the funny meter basically the same thing as what iamthespoon said

Could use more explanation.

The animation was very smooth. I think you could have animated the characters with more effort like the words.
I think the message got lost. If he had power, why would be choose to still associate himself with those characters? By mugging them, what do they have to offer anyways? I guess it's a metaphor, but there could be so many other things to demonstrate. The only "power" the character had was mugging others. We already have that power. lol
For example, the character could have used that power to influence other. Maybe, he could have gotten a "power" to do something ordinary people cannot do.

ASP responds:

You say the only power he had was mugging people, even though he used his power to buy the old lady a brand new car or give the hobo shelter.

I do agree with you when you say the message was lost; I didn't express it well enough. It's people like you who review harshly who I like the most.

Problematic

One problem I see with this idea is that power is never bestowed from on high. It must be gained and the pursuit of power is hardly the sport of the upright. Even if, by some marvel, power was gained without violence or oppression that power would then have to be guarded against others who would want it, a task rarely accomplished without the spilling fo some innocent blood. All this assumes that it is right that some should rule over others in the first place, of course.

Oh and the animation itself was alright.

Anti-climactic

The way this started out, I thought I might actually be in for quite a treat, and maybe learn something as well. But it didn't go anywhere. Look, I'm not going to be one of those people that shares all of my retarded worldviews with a bunch of internet trolls who don't care anyway, I'm just saying that there are more options here than helping someone out or mugging them. I realize this is a big topic to tackle with a little flash cartoon, but if a normal person suddenly had power, there would be a much wider range of possibilities than some simple "mugging vs. heping" situation. So I've gotta give you props for talking about something interesting and for a solid animation, but I think if you got a little deeper into this material your viewers would appreciate it.

ASP responds:

Well, agreed that it's anti-climatic. You inspired me to make another one of these with another quote.... THANKS!

P.S. By another, that also means better, more in depth and... well I'll try put in a climax.
