Id like to report a bug

Okay, ill admit it, I died in the game. Twice, even!
The problem i ran into was A, my pet dissappeared after i died the second time... meaning it saved after i died,
Also, when going to the beaches and only seeing beetles, an invisible snake bites me two times and i die. What is going on? A bug in the gameplay perhaps?
All i know is, green dude didnt die, yet he is gone.

Perfectly fine game until this happened.
Yay for my concern to save the game in two slots instead of one.

nice presentation, awkward gameplay

I give 5 stars because of the awesome presentation of this game.
But the gameplay is just bad. I don't mind the grinding factor or the difficulty of the begining stage, but the controls are really bad. They're slow and hard to use in fights. I also didn't like the slow healing factor, or the fact that once your pet is dead, its gone forever. Not only is the first pet you get the most awesome, it's also a great waste of all the time that went into grinding XP for that pet.

But by all means, do make a sequel :) if you take the comments here seriously it could be an awesome game.

Very nice except...

I would like to agree on a couple points made earlier...

* The healing items are too hard to use, especially with the berries for pets.

* Click-to-move would have been more appropriate in my opinion.

Here's what I'd like to ad to your list of things to consider...

* Special attacks for different classes of pet would be nice. Some incentive to go beyond the one you give us at the beginning.

* Easier access to the special abilities would be nice too, a key binding to allow to switch between the actions and the spells.

In all, this was fairly well done, some variation in the music would be nice. In general, with games like this, either let me use the keyboard, or the mouse, don't make me have to switch back and forth in the annoying fashion you employed. There's no reason you couldn't have added a "click to move" feature, since you can technically cheat it by leaving items that drop and using them to move across the map as you pick them up.

It was good to a point...

Great concept and such, but like the others have said before me. The healing and recovering factors are in need of a serious fixture. Especially for the pets, wild berries can only do so much till you get to like Jungle zone. 20 recover ain't going to help when there are 2-3 enemies charging you all the sudden. Plus make pet healing items available for shopping, had to farm the first two level to get quite a few of those wild berries and only to spend them all in the jungle zone where nearly all the monsters want a piece of you and your pet. The inn is also another issue, seeing the the damage intake is more that the output if you don't spend time leveling in a certain part. You're going to be paying more visits the to the inn than shopping for potions that are quite expensive. I had to be a risk taker and try to level up for the health increase when I really need it. Also there should be some way to resurrect a fallen pet, it feels a bit unfair that some work hard to level those pets only to have them die when there are 2-3 enemies nipping at them and they can't spam heal them in time with those wild berries.

Hope this helps and looking forward to anymore installments of these kinds of games. You did a great job overall, just need a little more tinkering and you're good to go with pleasing the rabid fans like myself :)

Fun

I thought it was a fun game with a lot of potentional, yet like many other have said the health regeneration system is too low and the cost of buying potions or staying in the 'hotel' costs too much.

Maybe if you made a sequel you could make it so health regen is very high when not in battle as i found too many times I would have to leave the game open while not playing to regain it.
