Reviews for "Robotic Emergence"

completion anxiety

very cool story, i love that.. game isn't too awful, only thing that is killing me is that i have been letting it play by itself for like 4 days and it just keeps going. there should be a cap or something to the story.... what is a story without an ending? aside from an obvious foreshadowing to a sequel...

Good idea, terrible execution.

As I write this, I am ten minutes into the first level, Desolation Peak. All my factories are maxed out, and I've got countless robots swarming the lines. The enemy has used three EMPs so far to reset the field, and I expect another ten minutes before I win.

I have done nothing in the past three minutes but watch.

The damage done to the wall by robots is too slow, there's too little player involvement, and the weather is badly implemented - it rains FAR too often given the effect rain has on your production.

Nice music, though.

good, but...

I will have to agree with most other individuals who have commented. It has so much potential. the story could use more development, defensive turrets, unique to each civilization, different modes of difficulty, especially in survival mode. Also, maybe a multiplayer version, where you can choose to to attack firs. i disagree with the "robot squads" idea everybody speaks of. Instead, if you do a multiplayer format the factories could be directed to produce robots to target a certain team. make it more complex, and it'll be a 10

I spent WAY too much time playing this...

This is a pretty badass game, but the only problem for me was that endurance mode was waaaaaay too easy. Unless I just figured out the perfect combo of factories; 3 pyramids right of the bat, a radio tower, then a tank factory. Anything else after that was just overkill. Seriously, I left it running while I made breakfast, took a crap, and smoked a cigarette. When I finally came back after an hour my base was still running strong without a single point of damage.

Anyway, I liked the retro-style graphics and the music was pretty catchy. Gameplay/interface was pretty smooth, and the progression of difficulty was just right. Except for the ease of endurance mode, this was a pretty solid game.

-T.

Fun, but quick.

Fun game. Although the last stage gets boring when all you need to do is EMP and you get more back for the amount spent. Then jsut save your money and you have too many robots for them to handle. Got 22 factories on the screen on the last stage, all 100% upgraded :-D
