Reviews for "Zack's Hardware"

overall a good game

it is a good game, but I just have one thing to point out that bothers me, the magnet towers are useful at slowing things down, but they do so little damage that I fear to waste my resources on them, specially because they only can gain experience from killing things. suffice to say I have never once been able to upgrade a magnet tower
and I do agree with grailas about the damage, it helps with the first upgrade, but the rate upgrades are just so much more effective
I would like to see towers gain slight experience for hitting the toys, and larger gains for killing them. maybe if the points were scaled up by 100x and points were gained equal to damage dealt with an 80 point bonus for killing, or something along those lines
but I did enjoy it, and it was nicely challenging. refreshing to see some new ideas in the TD genre

Why should i keep playing?

reminds me of gemcraft, only worse.

Not that i'm saying that this si a bad game, it justlacks the polish of the game its trying to be. One thing that this game lacks is a 'Why should i keep playing' reason. In gemcraft you had a level system, it allowed you to go back to levels and feel like you had gained in power. In this you don't have that, the only thing that might keep me coming ac is to say I've beaten all the modes on every level. and really, it IS just a flash game, not like its a mainstream game advertised everywhere.

fun

cool game to kill the time

O_O

Despite all the bad reviews, I actuarly liked this game allot.
At fist I found it to be just another boring tower deffence game, where you mindlessly place random things that you get for killing things. After starting, howerver, I found a mouse-over to pickup system (Only 2 tower defence games that I know of including this one have that function) and a brilliant buying system, that used the rarer mousoverpickups for better weapons. And the difficulty I found quite moderate throughout the whole game.

Another thing I liked about this game was the leveling up system, basic but fitted well. Also the "Enemies" design and sounds, I thought fitted well.Another would be the gaming modes that you achive after passing each level.

The only thing I semi-disliked was the "Badge games" Unlock all levels thing, but I suppose thats just advertising...

8/10 because of it's simplicity, but new ideas.

Very nice

Very nice, quite addicting.

Liked having to pick up the resources myself as it kept me more engaged in the game, can sometimes get very bored very quickly playing TD games, but this kept me interested.

Only slight problem is the random items, as I sometimes found myself at the higher levels still not able to buy higher level towers, due to lack of motors, however this only happened occasionally and so didn't really bother me that much.
