Reviews for "Zack's Hardware"

O_O

Despite all the bad reviews, I actuarly liked this game allot.
At fist I found it to be just another boring tower deffence game, where you mindlessly place random things that you get for killing things. After starting, howerver, I found a mouse-over to pickup system (Only 2 tower defence games that I know of including this one have that function) and a brilliant buying system, that used the rarer mousoverpickups for better weapons. And the difficulty I found quite moderate throughout the whole game.

Another thing I liked about this game was the leveling up system, basic but fitted well. Also the "Enemies" design and sounds, I thought fitted well.Another would be the gaming modes that you achive after passing each level.

The only thing I semi-disliked was the "Badge games" Unlock all levels thing, but I suppose thats just advertising...

8/10 because of it's simplicity, but new ideas.

Such a shame

This has all the makings of a great tower game. Unfortunately it is just simply too frustrating. I have spent the last hour playing on different levels and it is just random whether you will gt the drops necessary to complete the game or not.
There is no skill involved, it is pure luck and erratic drops. If you sort out the drop rate of certain items (or increase starting resources) this will be more of a strategy game and less of a roll of the luck dice. I have never, despite being absolutely perfect on some levels, had enough resources for a rocket launcher. Now is this just bad luck or poor planning? Well it can't be poor plannin because I am ace-ing the levels, so it must be a bad drop rate/poor luck!

Sort this out and you could be on to a gem, leave it as it is and this game will continue to frustrate and annoy.

Nearly....

Fun for the first level but it wont let me pick up resources so the best I can do is place 2 towers and get to about level 4.....

Yet another tower game...

There's a tried and true method for tower games. I understand why people try to break away from that but it never works. Needless to say, it doesn't work in this game.

The single biggest issue with it is the way you get materials for your towers. It's to random and by the time you get enough of the materials(if you get a single battery, which is needed for 6 towers) then the round is almost over.

Change this one aspect and I would easily give it a 8/10 or even a 9/10.

The drop rate of batteries is too low.

I pretty much get to the end of the levels with about 20 Screws, 30ish springs, 20ish gears, and 0 batteries.

I also think that 4 resources is a bit much to manage for a tower defense game. Maybe reduce the number of resources, and make the tower upgrades cost resources instead of Exp.

I think pretty much every game I manged to get about 5 towers that took batteries, the rest were just pretty much the tiny gun and the tomato launcher.
