Simple and true message...
...and yes, I do agree that it was swooshy and looked nice. But I feel that the lack of detail gave it a lackluster feel. That's the only thing taking away from your score. Otherwise, everything "connected," quite nicely. The flow of objects, images and references. A nice little flash. It's a shame it didn't make the competition because it would have surely made it up there, I'm certain.
All in all, good job. I approve of this highly. Hat's off to you.

Always enjoyable
These kinds of animations are always nice to watch and get the message, and usually work as great abstract music videos. However, my complaint here was that although the movement was smooth and every part worked in conjunction, and even though it did it all quite seamlessly, there's too many repeated movements.
You got the message across just fine, and it WAS a great short, but it could have used a few other things to lengthen the point. I've been wrong before, but the only "connecting" action was a few objects webbed, a photo sent, and a few wires connected to each other. Maybe you could have added... Oh, I don't know, a silhouette holding a box, who passes it to the next person, to the next, to the next, then the next person shoves the guy that gave him the box (idea, ect) off a cliff, he raises it above his head, and a group of people crowd him and praise him for it. A metaphor for plagiarism around the internet? Ehh, don't mind me. I'm just loitering.
(In other news, this video is the same shape as an iPod screen. This is also the first user-created content I've seen where they think they need to make money off it. Hmm...)
little short
i thought it was a little short, and not enough ideas(but i noticed your deadline comment). Nice work with the animation and music, nice ideas too about the world and how it is right now. i just thought it could use a little more ideas and unique animation. add in a car, the signals being recieved by a tower, stuff like that.

Yeah, I agree with adding more stuff in, but I had to stick to a 1 minute limit as one of the competition rules. But I did repeat a few things so I could have filled it out a bit better! Thanks.

i think you should start a flash series called connected and has this flash as the opener.
