Reviews for "SporeCraft"

Very thought out, Takes time to learn

It's a good game, but it could be a lot more simple...

Bugs:
Unresponsive units at times. Unit will move but will stop after 3 seconds.
^Above issue also can prevent mitosis, which sucks if you have a "super unit" that will cancel mitosis as soon as it starts.

Strategy:
What I like to do is start by producing 4 extra cell pools. This allows you to mass produce crappy units and suicide them against the opponent. Doing this gives you a ton of DNA. Or if you're lucky you'll just kill them with crappy units.

Nemo responds:

You know... that's a strategy I've never thought of. I'll try to figure out what's up with the bug you mentioned. Of all the beta testing I did, that never came up. Hmm... Thanks for the review!

I suck at it xD

Good game, and I've been waiting to play it for awhile. Only problem is I'm terrible at it lol. Deserves a higher score :P

Nemo responds:

Meh... I do to, haha.

Really nice start

I like the look of the game and the gameplay itself, but there are just a couple of niggling little issues - firstly the tutorial where the instructions go by with just enough time to read and not enough time to try out things like the evolution system, secondly when I have cells selected and am just exploring with them they will occasionally deselect themselves for no apparent reason when I click on a patch of empty ground. This is a great game though, well done!

Nemo responds:

Thanks for the review! I tweaked the tutorial screens so you now have to press a button to continue. Good recommendation for that. As for the deselecting, sometimes it happens if you drag the mouse a bit and then let go, like you're starting a selection box. Flash is a bit touchy with that, so I apologize. Thanks for the review though! Very helpful.

Quite entertaining

Though the interface takes a little getting used to, this was actually a very thoughtfully done game. I enjoyed it.

Nemo responds:

Thank you :)

I liked it...

... But I did notice one problem so far, and that is during the tutorial the text faded too quickly for me to read it all and find all the controls. If you could, try and change it so the user has to select "next" to progress in the tutorial, that way they have as much time as needed to read and figure everything out.

Nemo responds:

I fixed the tutorial issue and hopefully it will make the game much more enjoyable. Thanks for the tip!
