Reviews for "Red Jet Rabbit"

cool action packed

the game itself is very entertaining.... the problem is you will get all the maximum objects in the first few races.

Xplored responds:

Yes maybe it's a bit short. We'll project a longer game experience next time.

Nice

First of all, I think it's a great thing that you're taking the time to read and answer all the reviews. Now about the game...

It's an old idea reused in a creative fashion. It's not about getting far, it's about crashing the car. Pretty fun, but after getting all the upgrades it just turns into a game of being lucky since the obstacles and power ups will show up randomly. The menu music... well, it's ok, I get where you were going with this, but the looped part could be a bit longer.

The art is great, and I believe it's the main strenght of the game. Everything reminds of the old Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies/Silly Symphonies cartoons, except for the professor (he looks like something out of Cartoon Cartoons or something more modern). But you've got a problem with the graphics, and I believe it's more of a programming issue than design, and that's the rescaling issue. The art becomes jagged and you can see the pixels and that just screws every idea of it looking like a real cartoon. Just look at page 5 of the Shop and you'll understand what I'm talking about. I do get that having that sort of detail during the race would end up with huge slowdowns, but at least the rabbit's car and the menu items could have some better treatment.

Overall, it's a good game, but it gets kind of old too fast I guess.

Xplored responds:

Good and professional point on the graphic scaling.

Pretty nice

Except for the objects that you drop on your head. Whenever I bought them, they would either fly straight overhead or fly down in the middle of the screen which I never reached, thus making them a waste of cash.

Beyond that though, the game was nice and addicting.

Xplored responds:

Sorry, probably hte visual instructions are not so clear.
You have to select the Toss object with left/right arrows the you activate with spacebar. At this point in fact you see the item flying from right to left over your car. ONLY when you press SPACEBAR once again you toss the object. So press it at the right moment to hit the car.

solid game

its a good game, not the best, but i enjoyed it a lot. just work out a few kinks and maybe add a few powerups, changes in scenery, maybe new cars to wreck, that is if you make another one, which you should.

Xplored responds:

Thanks for clear comment and useful suggestions.

Not Bad

Well, I definitely liked it. Originality isn't really a big deal to me, personally. Instructions, you've heard that bit already. Graphics were good, gameplay was smooth. The audio was irritating as fuck, and when I tried to turn it off in the options menu... it didn't work. So I had my computer muted. Sorry. lol. But aside from that, bravo.

Xplored responds:

Yes. We've fixed the audio option matter for next games :-D
