Maestro!

several things about this song that I would've
done differently...
first, i dont think the strings should've been
tremolo-ing the entire time. It was cool to start
off with tho. the high register piano was nice,
but you know me, i would end up making the piano
the main feature instrument lol
1:13 - 1:15 is kinda, wierd. atleast the wierdness
wasnt long :)
1:52 felt cold. The tremolo there was put to good
use. It actually sounded cold.
the low piano part sounded a bit like a harpsichord. (or maybe it was a harpsichord...) lol
choir was great!

Maestro u did it again
nice jarb

p.s mind taking a trip by my page?
i got a new song waiting for u!

WinterWind

MaestroSorrow responds:

Thank you WinterWind, I enjoyed the crap out of your song, and I am glad you were able to enjoy this one. I have a great respect for your music and knowledge.

Thanks again for the review ^^.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, again great stuff man. Sounds really well balanced, not that I can really comment on music, I have no education at all:). Keep it up!

MaestroSorrow responds:

thank you LfunkeyA.

I don't believe you need musical education to write or comment on it, I myself have none, and still can't properly identify keys when played. If people randomly point to a key, it takes me some time to figure out which one it is.

it's all about the passion in my eyes ^^. Everybody can write a book, but few can write a tear, a tragedy, or frown.

Thank you for your review.

Bravo sir

Bravo sir, that's really all I can say. The song has so much going on, it's really hard to begin where or what to describe. Bravo.

MaestroSorrow responds:

thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it ^^.

An pleasure to listen to

This really is an excellent piece of music. It is build around a very simple chord progression, but never gets repetitive because of the changes in tune. The only negative points I can see are pretty minor, and much of it comes down to personal taste. In my opinion, the piano repetition of the B at around 45 seconds is unnecessary. I cannot tell precisely why, but my best guess is that it is too heavy. Stick a diminuendo in, and fade it out, and that should solve the problem. Around 1.15, consider changing string accompaniment, as the modulation is not completed ‘normally’ because of it. I can see the modulation being very successful with a few minor tweaks to the strings at this point, but as it is, the listener is distracted by the clash. The same thing occurs again around 1.35, and again around 1.45, though here the clash is disguised somewhat because of the voice.

Not withstanding these two small points, the music is successful, interesting, and a pleasure to listen to. I’ve given you a 4, but only because it’s not quite perfect. It would be a high 4.

MaestroSorrow responds:

I am quite impressed by your knowledge EvilChuckle, your words are truly helpful and greatly appreciated. I will carefully look over the song, not to resubmit, but to learn these mistakes I have going on.

Good ears.

Thank you for the review.

good

this is a very.. depressing peice of music. good job with all the instruiments, they seem to all come togather. overall, i see a bunch of veriety in your song. and it has a simple melody that stays with the song, really interesting. i like it

MaestroSorrow responds:

Thank you Trickmixer, every song I make, I try to embed a story into it.

I would have liked to work more on it, but I grow weary, trying to emphasise the image thats already dead or dying in my head.

Thanks for the review ^^.
