Reviews for "The Clown Downstairs"

Completely Drew Me In

This is fantastic, especially for your first animation; the art style suits the mood perfectly and the idea, the concept really stuck in my head. It seems to beg for continuation, it feels like a timid swimmer, testing the waters with their (still attached) toes, and in my opinion those waters are very inviting. Words cannot express how much I would love to see this expanded, not even necessarily with a prologue or sequal, just another movie built on this IDEA. Fantastic work.

P.S. Creepy as the devil's vagina..

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

Thanks very much - I have a whole back story and a couple of other characters in my head for this ... "Series" ... if you could call it that for the sake of argument lol - but they'll probably be kept on the backburner for just a while longer

omfg o.o

This video is very creepy, but in a way funny, when the clown "spits" out the bug an the other bug starts eating him instead of the toe :D
I want more of this clown, a whole serious with a story :D

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

lol thanks, I don't know if I'll ever deliver quite that but maybe another

I want more

I like your artwork style, and also the ideas that go along with it. The stomach part really made me think "Thats fucked up and interesting." Also I think to make an animation like that, you have a pretty twisted way of thinking. I also had the thought of "Why is there a clown in the basement?". It would be great if your next animation was the prequel to this as to why the clown was there & to be just as twisted.

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

I do plan on making another clown one, but not just yet - in the future perhaps I will - thanks!

Creepy...

The sound and the colors makes the vid eerie. I'm still having goosbumps! :D

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

thanks for the words!

pretty creepy

i'd go ahead and call it creepy, but wouldn't go as far as "disturbing"... and why is there a f**kin clown downstairs anyway? now THAT would be a creepy tale

JohnDavidHeptinstall responds:

lol thanks!
