Very, very nice work. You give off the sad/mournful vibe that you aimed to accomplish in a very efficient manner. The violins that accompany the beautiful piano melodies are truly a very nice touch. I personally found the pauses a bit to long however, i just didn't feel like they were very necessary.
Sounds sad indeed. But in a beautiful way. I like the sounds used. Especially that voice that starts at 0:48.
What a nice, simple song. Perfect for the mood.
I love how you've used those longer notes and strings to accentuate the piano portions, it adds a great deal of emotion to the song. Every note tends to place me in that saddened mindset. The minimalist nature of the song acts as a double-edged sword though.
The periods of brief silence allow the listener to quickly reflect on what they've just heard, which is fantastic! However, for some, this may be undesirable. Personally, I like how you've added these moments of reflection because they further amplify the mood! :)
I like the emotion and simplicity. The instruments were beautiful! I think it should have a little more structure to it, though, and I didn't the pauses really added much to the piece, especially towards the end. It's a little too slow in that regard. I love the mood and instruments, but I think you should give it a little more form. You should keep working on it. :)
