NOTHING WORKS

This is a prime example of why text based games suck balls. You can never figure out commands. the ones you do figure out don't work. I played for 10 minutes and i got it to move about twice. All the other times it said "what do you mean by" or "invalid command" and that is why the entire genre of text-based games suck.

Phantasmagor responds:

Because you're illiterate?

sorry but...

Too confusing...shouldn't have to go on a walkthrough to pass this

Meh

this taught me the most basic social skills, but it was a waste of time in my opinion got all the awards and w/e. should of added more sexiness to it.

No idea

I not really sure bout this game how to even move

front page?

i don't want to say it is a bad game. but i did expect a lot more from a front-paged game.
the greatest flaw this game has is the bad command recognition system, which makes it nearly impossible to finish the game without the walkthrough. the old text-typing games had some command like "look around", where you get told what objects are on the screen and how they are called (i didn't recognise the girl in the front as asian at all!) then it is way too short, finding one of the different endings does not make you feel like you achieved something at all. even if it's just one screen, the player could do some more investigation on the girls. asking the bar tender what music or drinks the girl like. you need only 4 interaction with every girl to take her home, that is too less. nowadays everyone has an achievement system. but here, every action you figure out triggers one (or sometimes even two) achievments. again, you don't feel achieving anything ^^

overall the game could be a lot more satisfying if the player actually had to figure out how to convince the girls. but this way the player has to figure out which commands will work.

programming a working command system may not be the easiest of tasks, but it usually divides the good type-in games from the bad ones. add more depth. reducing the amount of endings while increasing the effort to reach one may be a good way.

as it is now: no frontpage material -_-
