Reviews for "Super Paper Robot"

Cardboard Confrontation

I liked the art, and I certainly appreciate the time and effort you put into it.
Still, there were some flaws that kept me from being able to really enjoy all of this as a whole.

The animation was suited to the "cardboard" theme and premise.
The music was unique and went nicely with the animation.
The only real thing that didn't seem to help was the rather lackluster story. As far as "havoc" goes there really wasn't much...and the robot leaves shortly after having arrived. The helicopter's really didn't serve much as of a purpose either, except as the one thing that gets destroyed by the unfortunate person being thrown by the robot.

As a short animation, this isn't bad at all. It seems you weren't planning a large scale "robot vs. city" thing here, and that's alright. If you were ever to expand on this I'd recommend drawing some more people, and maybe making the robot attack/be attacked a bit more.

Good luck with your future animations! =D

Thanks for the constructive criticism, you make some valid points and I will use them to improve my future work.

like a candied midget...

short but kinda sweet. i wish i had seen more "havoc" but the flash itself was different in a cool sorta way 3/5; 7/10

Pretty cool

I like the stop-motion effect, and the story was nothing too exciting but was fairly entertaining

what? thats IT??

wayyyy too short. the animation was really good, and made me smile
but this was way too freakin short! make a longer one next time

Pretty good

I absolutely loved the cardboard city. I think you did a really good job in designing that. For example the last shot of the robot flying upwards, I really like the look of the city there.
As for animation, I found it interesting. It's not really my cup of tea but it's different and It did fit the whole paper and cardboard theme.
The story is good, not very original but fun to watch. I just don't like the way it ended. It was too short, so much more could have happened. I mean, certainly the robot had a bigger plan than just trying to eat one lousy human? If that was his plan he isn't all that ''super''.
And after he sees the helicopters, he destroys one and then flies off?? Not very super at all.
I liked the music though, it did give it a whole grudgy feel to it. I liked that.

Keep up the good work!
