H-HOME RUN!

Suggestions for Improvement:

1) I will assume that you had no intention of creating plot throughout this flash, so we'll leave that at N/A for now.

2) When creating a flash frame by frame, going that extra mile and creating extra frames to make the animation as smooth as possible means the difference between a mediocre flash and a decent flash. People appreciate that extra mile.

3) Stay away from meme-based sound effects or jokes if the flash is not particularly funny to begin with. These only serve to annoy most viewers. Heed the rule: "A meme is dead immediately after it is born."

4) I won't say "anime" swords here because it is a misnomer; I will say, however, to stay away from too much exaggeration during a fight scene, unless your initial intention was to make the fight (and the flash itself) ridiculous or comedic. As said before me, incredibly wide or large swords are often seen as humorous and not to be taken seriously, because few people would be able to wield them. It also brings in physics and realism issues, such as when the large enemy's sword became stuck in the ground. Aside from being remarkably cliche' (but we'll get to that later), I would like to further point out what someone else has said: If the man is strong enough to wield such a weapon, he would be damn well strong enough to pull it out of the ground.

5) Very few people like Mary-Sue'd characters. A Mary Sue, in this case, is a character that has absolutely no flaws and/or is invulnerable. What you have shown us is a generic traveler facing off against three bandits that appear as if they know how to fight and have significantly better weapons. What we see are the bandits in question's attacks being laughably deflected and thrown off as if the main character is actually the man-child of Super Saiyan Goku and Hollow Ichigo. This is boring and at times annoying. Who wants to watch a character fight others if he can break them without a sweat? Much of the reason why these shows continue to draw people is because the characters, even the mary sue and super strong ones already mentioned, occasionally DO lose, or cannot defeat someone with a single placed kamehameha or bankai. We are compelled to watch as the characters are endlessly defeated, and must find new and creative ways to defeat their newest opponent (or they go just one level higher as a cop out). It is this compelling nature that allows so many viewers to stay; they say to themselves, "Wow, I wonder if such and such will beat that guy." Note that this is not to confuse with filler episodes which consist of said characters squatting and appearing constipated while they charge that spirit bomb or reach a whole new level of "badass": that is "superficial length".

6) Some nit-picking: The man with the gun only appeared to fire once during the whole submission. I saw that this was a chance to animate the 360 view of the bullet in flight, but as we've already gone over, please try to avoid cliche's. Also, the grenade you threw was a fragmentation grenade, as can be seen from the little rectangles you drew on it, and as such they do not explode in that manner; they spread the rectangles out like shrapnel.

7) Someone below me gave you a ten and claimed that it didn't matter what the quality of your work was, so long as you tried. I disagree. The greatest pieces of art come from a combination of talent, knowledge of the subject, AND effort. You can have pure talent, but not the motivation to do something, and certainly not the knowledge of how to do something. You can have knowledge of how to do something, but not the motivation nor talent to do it. You can have the motivation for something, but without knowledge, you can't get started, and without talent, your art will most likely suck.

However: Talent for something and Knowledge can be improved through repeated failures. You create something initially, and it gets chewed up; so for the next submission, you know what to do, what not to do, and what to do better. This is true experience, and this is what makes great artists.

Good luck,

-Mac

I appreciate this review very much. I have been taking note of everything that you
(and others) have said.

Its essential to improve, and I thank you
for writing this review. :)

some cool fbf

i liked it very munch, the only thing was that you havent synced the music with the action - i think that some "harder" music would fit best, that loop as not the best choice

AWSOME

THIS IS GREAT IS AWSOME AND HAVE FIGHT

Better than anything I could do

You did well, based on my standards, but like the guy below the one below me, you need to add more frames, its too jumpy. It actually wasn't a fight either, more of a failed attempt at an ambush, as they never actually FOUGHT, him mearly dodging stuff and going all slashy slashy with his sword. ahhhhh...don't you just love criticism?
