Reviews for "Fight in the Forest."

haha nice

my brother is a big head on newgrounds, so ive seen alot of work in my time, like the guy below me said, youve got great potential. Dont listen to that wowowsisiss faggot, he cant even spel "myself" correctly, you got the skills kid. For what this video is as far as a cool little fight scene it gets a 9/10 for great beginning to what i hope is a well deserved future on this sight. Thanks for the previews

Honesty for first flash

I'm no flash guru myself nor have I ever even created one but the 9 out of 10 represents the potential of this flash. It is your first time and this is a great flash considering that you've only had 3 weeks of experience. Although, it needs some touching up and I'm not talking about the frame rates. The story concept is very generic so that's what threw off that one star.

Again, there's a lot of potential. You have the visuals. Now show us how you see the world and separate yourself from the crowd.

Decent

Pretty decent flash for your first one.

Well..

Adding onto what KSDevonic has already said is the plot. Why? What was the purpose of him being ambushed in the forest and why was he such a bad ass? Did he owe them money or was there a bounty on his head? Was it that they really sucked or was he just that good? Why was he going through a forest in the first place? Also to tack onto what KSDevonic said was about the anime swords. If the big dude was strong enough to move it around on his back and swing it, why couldn't he pick it up? This is a perfect example of why giant swords are silly. The strength of the person + the edge of the blade determine how much damage a sword can inflict on a person, not the size of the sword. If you are walking around carrying a damn air plane wing on your back, it's gonna be pretty hard to swing it around gracefully.

With this said though I do hope to see more work from you in hopes that your style and story does get better in future projects.

Meh

Almost the entire flash was frame by frame animation, which is good but it looks a bit choppy and needs to be more fluid.

My real big problem with this flash is that you used Meme sound effects and guys using oversized anime style swords. What kept me from rating this any higher is the sound effects which really detracted from the flash movie. Maybe its just me but I am sick of meme sound effects.

Another thing that lowered the score was the fighting. Nothing really stood out for me as something that is memorable. Basically a bad guy uses a weapon and misses then the protagonist beats them with one move. No build up, no extra fancy moves just a one step, two step, then on to the next bad guy.

Next as i mentioned above was the anime style swords. I hate those things, nobody could ever use something like that and it just looks goofy. A normal sword just makes more sense and does not look goofy. It is nice to see some frame by frame anmation but everything else was passable.

Tyler responds:

I agree with alot of what your saying, and this had no effort
in terms of plot. I was trying to get a feel for flash and frame by
frame.

I appreciate the review, its helpful :)
