Based more on luck than skill
First of all i can tell you put a lot of effort into this - and it is actually an awesome game. However there are a few things that seriously undermine it. The game is based more of luck than skill. Sometimes a boss seemed inpossible, and other time id get the shield + lazer and kill it in about 5 seconds. The levels also seemed to be luck based - is this platform going to stay or fall? no way to tell. Is it safe to drop down here? no way to tell. Sometimes i thought i was going to drop to my death and ended up fighting the boss, other times i was sure i was at the boss and would fall to my death. It seems the secret to beating the game is just to try over and over again until you get the easiest level layout - this takes a lot of fun out of it. Overall i did have a lot of fun, but i found mself getting extremely frustrated with this luck-based system.
you know what isn't fun in a game?
constantly being killed by things that dont actually hit you.
mostly this wasn't a problem except a little bit with the bouncy things...
but the big yellow needle boss thing doesn't even need to be anywhere near you and you just die for no reason!
also lags a bit if u shoot a lot when there are a lot of enemies, and could benefit from better controls but its the first thing that lost you those 2 points.
apart from that very fun game. i got extremely insanely hard and gave up cos of the needle boss and also cos im tired lol
fun to play good music and colourful.
only little things in gameplay let it down.
