Reviews for "Cavern of the Evil Wizard"

as someone who was born before mtv...

i really wonder how many younger kids will be able to figure out what to do.

it was short but fun. the closest i came to playing a typing game was wheel of fortune on a floppy disk.

perhaps you could expand it into a full story or something that would be awesome.

great job bud. you're getting a 5/5

brings me back

ill give you a 9 mostly out of nostalgia... brought me back to days of playing old sierra adventure games on my ibm compatible dual floppy disc... ah those were the days... police quest, space quest, leisure suit larry, black cauldron, kings quest... having to change floppys as the game progressed... so awesome... id like to see more of those games now haha

BoMToons responds:

ha ha, exactly. Those games started my obsession with making my own games. This game is purely about nostalgia. The struggle Josh Baskin had in the movie Big was not wanting to be a kid (frozen in childhood, unable to overcome his perceived obstacles). But all I can seem to think about is how much I'd like to go back to my childhood and re-experience the best, most care-free time in my life.

bout time someone did this

the only thing i could say is if you want to actually build the game BEFORE this event it would be away to make it your own

BoMToons responds:

The level of desire I had for this game after watching big was this exact scenario. Why spoil it with a bunch of garbage leading up to it?

Awesome

Really good game. After I watched that movie I thought "I want to play that game" now I have. Thanks.

BoMToons responds:

Exactly.

Interesting...

Odd, is one word that comes to mind. Rather random, to be completely honest.

I had a problem with the time limit. It caught me off-guard, and just seemed sorta unfair.

Also, whatever I typed took a while to appear on the screen. Is this intentional?
