Reviews for "Saucer Strike"

not bad

it tll be better if it use a and d for control

I don't wanna play this game.

As I don't wanna destroy what these people build so hard to create.

But in all seriousness, this was boring as hell. Just give us that laser right in the beginning so we don't have to shoot with that pee-pee gun.

It was ok

The visuals were cool; especially the weapons. The audio was overall decent too but a bit repetitive.

Gameplay was kind of cool, but the game never got challenging, only tedious. For every level except the last, I just started on the left side of the lvl and worked to the right and simply used to most effective weapon. The only thing I changed about the last level was I worked from both sides since there was finally tons of dudes trying to kill me. The choppers never even pressed you if you took your time. Also, I didn't like that by the time you unlocked some of the cooler weapons, you only had a building or two to waste in most levels. An upgrade system were you spent the energy you harvested in between levels would be a good remedy to this.

Controls were straight up bad. Although smooth, they were not tight. Thru-out the game I found myself sliding past targets and flying all over Hell's half-acre. Using WASD or the arrows would be great. You could use the mouse to aim or to maintain the whole "saucer-only-shoots-down" thing, you could scrap the mouse completely. Weapon selection wasn't bad but a bit sloppy and if you were on the edge of the screen, some of the buttons would be off the screen.

Also, a minor glitch, the game never announced that the Charge Shot was unlocked (it would announce the Super Charge tho).

could have been better

i found the game play to be highly repetitive and the control scheme was difficult to get use to.

i would recommend some hold over in weapon and energy progression between the stages and adding an alternate way to control the game using wads to move and the mouse only to aim.

the music and graphics were ok, could have been better but definitely passable

Boring

This game is severely flawed because of poor design concept.

- Game is slow paced.
- You go through the same upgrade process each time, which is repetitive and a waste of time.
- Mission objectives are repetitive
- Game is too easy. There aren't even enemies until lvl 6 that could shoot at you. Last level (lvl 11) was a joke too.
- Aesthetics: Again, repetitive, and why do all cities have the same environment, even cities in Greenland?
- Technical: Game engine isn't too bad.

All this makes the game quite boring.

Also, there's a problem in that when you press space bar, the weapon selection menu seems to be unresponsive.
