i'd like to ask a question!

now this was simply perfect but i want to hear from u about this, why did you make this? Was there some sort of inspiration in your life that made you do this? becuase i can see clearly that involves street violence, or ghetto-like action. something only to b made by some1 who had these experiences b4. which got me attracted to it. so you think you can enlighten me on how u made this? bc i would really wanna know

JazLyte responds:

Hahaha, nah never been in a protest or anything even close to this. Though I have been in a fight with a white dude before, never with one who could do magic. I wrote this in the middle of a transition in religious views...I'll leave the rest up to you :P thanks for the kind words

Hmmm

This was pretty damn amazing, of course the audio could of been better, but that's nothing you can't fix with time, etc. Another thing is that I was confused as to who I should be sympathizing with, I ended up feeling bad for the guy and his gf, because he seemed to only want a peaceful solution. I walked away feeling like I missed something, like I should of felt something for the church people as well. Confusing. Anyways, good flash, and story so far.

JazLyte responds:

Hehe. I hate to say it, but I kind of meant for it to have that effect. Well, not necessarily confusion, but I just want the viewers to choose who they like and root for them. There's no such thing as heroes in real life because 99.99% of the time one person's hero is somebody else's villain for agreeably valid reasons. Beside all that, it's a cartoon, glad to see people got a kick out of it. Thanks for the kind words :)

this is great!

i love the art, the story, and everything about this is so... pro-looking!
there are some parts where the sound effects could be a little more intense, but other than that, it looks like what you've got a great anime in its early stages!

This is what Im sayin

There is absolutely no way how you haven't sold this story as of yet. You must turn this into a video game series, and/or the next new line of anime. We do not see black power characters too often and you have essentially set up a thorough story line that is inclusive of a well thought out plot. The under tones of xmen coupled with a world that's going to hell in gasoline drawers...it needs to be a series of some kind.

JazLyte responds:

Hahaha thanks alot man. You have no idea, I would love to see this made into a 26-Episode cartoon series packed with action and critically acclaimed like Cowboy Bebop and Champloo, buuuuuut not quite yet. That aside, the way you described Necropolis, "a world that's going to hell in gasoline drawers...", I couldn't ask for a better interpretation of my story. You sir, have won a cigarette.

Props man.

You did really nice job man. The characters were interesting, the VA work and writing was on point, great choice is music, and for the most part the animation was smooth. Only cons i had were was that the mic quality was a little below par (especially since this is a quality flash) And the mouth flaps during your characters' dialogue can be improved. But those are minor gripes that I feel can be worked out with more money and experience. Sides that, great job man. Black people are very unrepresented in anime (sides afro samurai, Barret (from FFVII), characters in the boondocks (i feel that kinda counts as a different type of anime style), and another one thats going to be in FF13). So keep that aspect up man. But black people aside, just keep making quality stories and flashes and just keep doin you man. You got talent, keep improving. Look forward to your next big flash.

One love,
