Reviews for "The Tickler"

Yeah

Not too bad...game play was pretty good and graphics good...sorry but didn't like music

I like the idea

It was actually kinda fun. It kept me going till the last level. I didn't really play the extreme version, simply because it gets too repetitive after the first try. Tips for people who are having trouble - laser and armor upgrades are essential for surviving those pesky little bullets and rpgs.

The beginning of the 'extreme' game was actually exactly the same as the normal mode. I had all my upgrades which made the levels wayy to easy. I could just stay still and wait for my laser to take out everything while my armor absorbed the hits. If you're going to call something 'extreme' make it seriously worth my time.

The other thing is, I don't like it when certain 'upgrades' actually made the game either harder or just lousier. The 'Reach' upgrade is particularly useless. With longer arms, it actually makes it easier to miss grabbing enemies. This is also coupled with the fact that I have to hold down the mouse to deal any damage so most of the time I've got the arms stretched out completely, The longer they are, the more likely it is that an enemy bumps into me because even if I twirl around full circle, my flailing arms are useless at grabbing.

I think you should also make the arms spread out more. It makes it so hard to grab something. Most of the time my damage is done with the electricity and laser simply because the grabbing isn't the best. Sometimes I manage to hit enemies away even when my arms come in contact with the enemy. What's up with that?

Somehow I feel this game might have been a little more interesting with a WASD control. Maybe or maybe not, but it's worth testing it out. The main thing with the mouse upgrade is that because I have to point my mouse at the enemy in order to grab it, and because the enemy shoots right in my direction, it usually ends up with me taking the bullets. It comes down to timing - grabbing them immediately after they fire - but that's just tedious. Maybe a WASD control might make the game too simple, I don't know, but it could be worth trying.

I like this thing quite a bit. It's nice for a little bit of fun.
