Okish

A fun enough game although nothing special about the play and the constant flashing of writing is way too annoying.

The text was fine (for 2 seconds)

There was once a huge row of coins. After this row of coins, my eyes were ready to grab a knife and commit eyeball suicide. Sure it was a blast, and I love the black and white graphics, but a text things for every coin and every jump seems a bit excessive.

Hmm...

That was wretched. I mean at first it seemed kind of fun! Kinda light hearted and what not. But the whole blacking out the screen for unnecessary comments just to be annoying detracted from any enjoyment I could've gotten from this game.

Also silent movies don't nearly have that much text. Usually they'd try to portray emotions visibly and reserve text for what is absolutely necessary.

Clever concept, falls short on execution

You came into this with a very original concept. The subtitles were amusing and cute at first, but eventually they overwhelm the game and it starts to feel like you're watching a slideshow of text. I like the idea of trying to recapture the feel of a pre-sound movie, but you got a bit carried away here. In early 20th century films, you won't find a text card every half second; here you can.

lol wut?

The silent movie style is quite nice, but there is absolutely no playability, because of the "woohoo" and "shadoop" screens flashing up after every jump, coin get etc...

a weak 4.
