Adorably Evil though very frustrating
I felt the desire to give it a decent score for the pure amount of effort in terms of graphics and over all thoroughness that was put into it. Call me simple, but I just couldn't get the upper hand no matter what I tried. Perhaps I gave up too easily. Goddamn those silly little bullet sponges! All in all, I enjoyed it though. Good stuff! >:-)
Nice work
It may be a little easy but it's still fun and looks sharp. Looks like you've got the concept well packaged and I can't see any huge problems with the game.
Challenge is the main issue here. While your towers are varied in what they can do, once you get to the high end towers and upgrade them there isn't any need for the lower end ones. Most TD game towers make sure that almost every tower has some importence and can't be ignored. Also, making some towers air to air only is a thought just for added challenge.
Other than that, it's a decent TD. A good beginners edition.
nice,but...
the idea is nice, but the game is just too easy. especially in the first few levels you can sort-of abuse the pathfinding AI to force the penguins into a path of death, quickly turning it into a game won by waiting. on the other hand, the game is nice and colorful, is easy to learn and a good way to waste your lunchbreak :-)
one suggestion: add an option to upgrade towers with, say, the U button.
decent game
The concept isnt new but i like these types of games. Gameplay was a bit slow. It would have been nice to have a way to speed it up/slow it down while in game. Maybe put in a couple new "Boss" characters for the different maps.
All in all though I had a good time. It kept me entertained for awhile.
