Yeh I understand the whole personal interpretation ending.. but I don't think it suited the flash.
Considering you made it a love story, it seems inconclusive. What I mean is that, the man was already mourning his wife/spouse by the end of it. Indicating to us the intent of his actions when he stepped in the time machine.
My point is, that it's inconclusive more then open to interpretation. There is no ending to interpret. He got in the time machine and set it to past. You're leaving us the entire journey through time to interpet, which is just bad writing. You're basically saying; "Write the story yourselves".
On top of that, the music builds to a crescendo as he gets into the time machine, indicating some sort of action is going to happen. But we already know he's not going to the future. So what is the point? You build it up to nothing.
A Cute Piece, But Does It Stand The Test of Time?
They're are many educational and/or experimental flash movies out there that are suppossed to give you a deep message. This one is clearly obvious to say according to these comments and the story has been told a bunch of times before, but apparently the ending will confuse those who don't understand the concept of an open-minded ending. The animation was good and the characters were well displayed, but I had a big problem with the BGM. The music was just too stocked and generic for each situation, plus it sounded like it was being played on a cassette with the sudden stops.
Anyway, with cute animations, stock music, and an unfinished ending, the message is clearly spoken. Like I always say:
"The Past is History, The Future is a Mystery, but Today is a Gift. That is why it's called the Present".

THere was no blood, so obviously It worked. What hapened was he realised he didnt want a future without his chick.
