Reviews for "Demolition City"

Loved it

But it was far too short :(

Good fun

But there should of been more variety. It was the same old "blow up the important supporting pillars" every level. The ones with a building which you werent allowed to touch was a good addition (even if tiny specks of dust from the edge of an exploded girder did fail the mission). However, maybe adding a building on the other side aswell would of varied it a bit more. Different bombs perhaps.

Good game, just needs more adding to it before I play it again.

Interesting!

Very straightforward concept, and you executed this well. I enjoyed it. Good game.

Great game

While the sound got a bit repetitive, it's also not the point of the game. It provided a neat, bouncy atmosphere that still let you focus on what you were doing. I love physics-based games because sometimes, the same action can have a different outcome. There were a few levels where I tried the same placements and got different results, at least one of which resulted in success.

The game concept is fantastic, and very well executed. The "Don't hit the building" challenges add an extra spice to the levels, which get slightly monotonous after a while. A third kind of structure/support beam, or perhaps a limitation on both sides, would make the game more interesting, while also making level design that much more difficult.

One other possibility would be to have multiple game modes or difficulties, including one where rather than getting a bonus for remaining dynamite at the end of each level, the ones you don't use carry over to the next, and the ones remaining at the very end are tallied up for the bonus.

Finally, a sandbox mode or level editor would make this game very accessible, as well as providing greater replay value while people post their levels for others to take on.

As many have said, this is a good game with lots of potential for growth in a "Demolition City 2," and I'm sure you wouldn't have much problem finding a co-programmer for some of the multi/online content should you choose to seek that out.

This definitely deserved front page!

I like it a lot!

Destruction is always fun to do, especially in games where nothing but it fuels things wonderfully! I loved finding new places to put the dynamite in and of course the end results. I also love that silly noise the game makes when you get past a level. That's reason enough to enjoy it! I will say that part with the black building blocking it is kind of annoying.
