Reviews for "Lastman"

Medals are bugged

The furthest I've gotten is to the screen where like 5 missile launchers are just spamming you nonstop, however when the 5 point medal popped up it never showed in my medal section and I didn't receive any points for it even though I went back to try for a second time but the medal just will not unlock. Without the security of knowing I can actually achieve the medals, why would I even want to play this game? This is just as bad as that OCD one, but at least that one worked

Gaming masochism at its finest.

There's nothing like remembering those excruciatingly difficult old-school games by playing Lastman.

Not only is it incredibly unforgiving (no checkpoints and precise jumps), the game then spits in your face by placing ads every 20 deaths! Awesome!

Everyone needs to lighten up and realize that all of this is intended. The main author is the same guy who made V-TECH RAMPAGE -- he's probably laughing right now at your complaining.

This game excels in what it does; that's why I give it a 10. Congrats.

:)

What the heck?

I usually like playing these Medal games but this one has to go with the deceased FUI2 as one of the worst ones. I don't mind that you were trying to make a hard game and crap but the art work could have used work. And the Ads are horrible.

Why don't you just do what everyone else does with adds, play them with the loading bar then forget about them, my computer already is slow enough and having adds every 3 seconds (that really isn't that bad of an exaggeration considering I die 10 times in that limit) Why don't you just take em out.

Take away the adds, spend a little bit more time on your sprite artwork and this would be better. If you wanted a game with teh same spirits you fail. I beat the lost levels and actually enjoyed playing it. (they even had music with that game and better artwork)

It was actually pretty fun!

A lot of people have been poundin' you but I actually enjoyed it. Its design was like an old NES game. No shading just easy and simple. I think it needed some music and maybe some sort of checkpoints. It was also confusing... But when I thought about it I found the answer simply. The part with P.i.g was a bit glitchy... but overall I had a lot of fun. Oh and I got to around the first time you see the snail :)

a few problems.

I have a fair few problems with this game:

having the gamer bombarded with advertisements every 25 seconds isn't user friendly, it's annoying and ultimately you'll just drive people away from the game, despite the badges you have implemented. (which should bring gamers back for more, but your giving the opposite effect)

now don't get me wrong, I don't mind supporting developers, programmers and artists, but, in this case, it was just greediness, and a total abuse of flash.ads.

as for the gameplay, very basic, controls were ok, nothing special I might add. pretty awkward to be honest. personally, I didn't like the fact that when you die once, just once, you go back, and from what I've noticed, there are no checkpoints. even though the game is very difficult, it's definitely a challenge.

graphics were also very basic, but I'm under the impression you were going for a simplistic NES style, and judging by the gameplay, I think it's a good assumption.

here are a few notes you can follow to hopefully improve :

- please be more forgiving with gameplay. add something like a checkpoint or even lives.

- tone down the advertisements. sitting through five seconds of advertisements doesn't make me want to keep playing through this game, despite it having achievements.

- add some music and sound effects. there were like two sound effects in the whole game, not a great variety, eh?

overall, a fair game, but let down by greediness, and lack of consistency.
