Reviews for "Raider: Episode 1"

Excellent..

..however, I think it would have been better had the player been equipped with a gun or at least some sort of weapon.

Please read the controls before making comments like that.

Its not bad.

The jump controls seem a little off. You suddenly drop after you jump, as if your momentum never existed, and yes, I am holding the jump button. The story line seems pretty cool. I'm glad that you didn't make spikes one hit kills, but there are some places where you fall in them, and can't get back up. Some of the turrets seem to be in some weird places, where you know that you will be hit. I don't like the fact that you have to jump off of ladders, opposed to walking off them. All in all its not bad.

Pretty good game

Man, you had everything going for you, graphics gameplay, everything was nice, but you had no difficulty preception at all. It went from super easy to super hard. I mean when I got to the first boss I was like..
"whoa, wtf is going on" And even before then, it would be pretty easy and fun, then
BLAM, all the sudden you have the super hard part you slave over for like 10 minutes. I overcame most of them, but the first boss was just stupid, I got how he worked, he shot his little lightning balls then you jump of the electrified floor and wall. But man, after jumping some platforms with spikes it was just too much.
Very good potential if you would have layed out the difficulty to get progressive not, Super easy part, Super hard part, semi easy part, Super hard part again.

Nice Game!

It was a little bit hard but scenario, gameplay and boss design is nice.

A bit clunky, but functional

I played for a while, and I had fun with it for the while. However, the controls seemed a bit clunky and the character moved in an odd way when it was most important that he didn't. Once I got to the later areas, It got bad enough for me to stop playing. I bet if I spent some time getting used to it, I'd enjoy it a lot more. However, it would be nice if it was more smooth. I haven't played the 2nd, so I don't know if you fixed it, but if you didn't that's I'd recommend fixing it.
